Presence - A group exhibition to close out 2016
In conjunction with the inaugural Gallery Weekend Kuala Lumpur (GWKL), Artemis Art is pleased to announce the last exhibition for 2016, Presence.
10 Malaysian visual artists, a mix of young, emerging and established, who each look at life in their individual way, presenting what they see and feel from their own perspective, in styles unique to each artist.

The varied styles expressed by each artist is reflective of how we, as individuals, view our lives, be it past, present or future. It's this diversity of views and perspectives that makes life in Malaysia unique among nations in its richness.
Presence begins its run on Friday, November 25 and continues until the end of the year, December 31 2016.
GWKL Art Talk
As part of the GWKL program, we will be holding an artist talk session with one of the participating artists, Ajim Juxta, at 10:00 am on Sunday, November 27 2016, at Artemis Art, Publika.
2016 has been a tremendously successful year for Ajim Juxta, his fifth year of practice since deciding to become a full-time visual artist. He was one of the three winners in this year’s Young Art Awards in Taiwan’s premier art fair focused on young artists, Young Art Taipei. He is also one of the recipients of the 2016 Young Guns award, ra recognition of the achievements thus far in his visual art career.
This program will be an opportunity to find out more about Ajim Juxta, how and why he decided to leave a career as an architect to become a full-time artist, and some insights into his artworks.
